About Taryn:
Taryn Nowak-Stoppel brings a unique blend of scientific curiosity and compassionate care to her role at Fairfield and Oak Bay Mental Health. She initially pursued a degree in Astrophysics before following her passion for helping others and completing a Diploma in Counselling.
Prior to joining our team, Taryn spent several years working in the field of eating disorders, supporting individuals through their healing journeys with compassion, patience, and genuine care.
When she's not at work, you might find Taryn out on her paddleboard, tending to her ever-growing collection of indoor plants, or soaking up as much sunshine as possible. She has a strong appreciation for the outdoors and a particular interest in nature therapy and the ways that spending time in nature can support overall well-being. If you start noticing more plants in the Fairfield office waiting room, you’ll know who’s behind it all!
Taryn is thrilled to be part of the Fairfield and Oak Bay Mental Health team and brings a warm, welcoming presence to everyone she meets. Her curiosity, kindness, and down-to-earth nature make her a wonderful addition to our clinic family.
