About Jenafor (she/her):

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor offering individual counselling to adults of all ages.

Before becoming a counsellor, I spent more than 12 years teaching yoga and mindfulness and over five years working as a death doula and advocate for holistic end-of-life care.

These experiences continue to shape my practice, fostering a deep appreciation for the connection between mind, body, relationships, and the many transitions we experience throughout life.

I support clients navigating a wide range of challenges, including:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Stress and overwhelm

  • Grief, loss, and longing

  • High sensitivity

  • End-of-life concerns

  • Community, connection, and belonging

My work is informed by a variety of therapeutic approaches, including:

  • Person-Centred Therapy

  • Attachment-Based Therapy

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Compassion-Focused Therapy

  • Narrative Therapy

  • Mindfulness

  • Nervous System-Informed Therapy

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in an understanding of the nervous system.

Many of the thoughts, emotions, and behaviours that bring people to counselling are not signs that something is "wrong" with them, but rather adaptive responses that once helped them cope. Together, we work to understand these protective patterns with curiosity and compassion rather than judgment.

I am drawn to slowing things down and paying attention to what is happening in the present moment.

Through mindfulness, somatic awareness, and nervous system regulation, we can build greater capacity to respond to life's challenges with flexibility instead of reactivity. While we cannot prevent pain or difficult emotions, we can change the way we relate to them.

In our work together, you can expect a warm, gentle, and collaborative space where your comfort and sense of safety are prioritized.

I am interested in understanding who you are, what matters most to you, and the strengths you already carry. I respect your unique lived experience and believe that meaningful change happens when we work together in a way that honours your values and pace.

We are not meant to navigate life's challenges alone. It would be an honour to support you in reconnecting with your inner wisdom, resilience, and capacity for healing.

You are welcome here.
