About Sophie:
We’re very pleased to have Sophie Dempsey on our team as a Client Care Coordinator at the Fairfield and Oak Bay Mental Health offices.
Sophie recently completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Victoria. She is now working towards her Master’s in Counselling degree at Adler University.
In addition to her academic background, Sophie currently volunteers with the Looking Glass Foundation for Eating Disorders.
Through this experience, she has deepened her understanding of the complexities of eating disorders and systemic barriers that impact access to care.
Other past experiences include volunteering in conservation (Verdiazul, Turtle Conservation and Reforestation in Costa Rica), fundraising, and working collaboratively in fast-paced customer service roles.
Sophie helps out our team with client care, a range of projects, and gaining insight into the daily workings of a group practice.
