About Caroline (she/her):

Caroline is originally from Ireland and brings a warm, grounded, and authentic presence to her work. Clients often appreciate her calm, down-to-earth nature, thoughtful insight, and gentle sense of humour.

Education & Credentials

Caroline holds a Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Leicester in England. She is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and a Registered Psychologist (RPsych) with the College of Alberta Psychologists.

Therapeutic Approach

Caroline works collaboratively with adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, emotionally exhausted, anxious, or uncertain about how to move forward in life.

She has extensive experience supporting clients through anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, relationship challenges, work-related stress, and major life transitions.

She understands that reaching out for counselling can feel vulnerable, and she strives to create a space where clients feel comfortable, understood, and supported without judgment.

Caroline’s approach is compassionate, practical, and tailored to each individual’s needs and goals. She draws from several therapeutic modalities, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Rogerian Therapy

  • Integrative Therapy

She enjoys helping clients develop greater self-understanding, build effective coping strategies, and feel more confident navigating life’s challenges.

Clinical Experience

Caroline has nearly 20 years of clinical experience in both private practice and public healthcare settings through Alberta Health Services.

She has supported adults from a wide range of backgrounds, including healthcare professionals, educators, medical professionals, private clients, and family members navigating difficult circumstances.

She has also worked as a contracted Psychologist with the Canadian Armed Forces.

Personal Information

Caroline lives in Oak Bay and is a valued member of the Fairfield Mental Health and Oak Bay Mental Health teams.

She is currently seeing adult clients in BC as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), offering both in-person sessions at the Oak Bay location and online counselling.

Outside of work, Caroline enjoys sports, travel, and walking the family dog, Scotty.
