About Amy (she/her):

I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with a Master’s degree in Social Work.

My path to counselling has been shaped by over 20 years of experience as a community social worker, primarily within non-profit organizations.

I have experience supporting women, birthing people, families, frontline workers, and health professionals through complex challenges and life transitions.

I have a special focus on perinatal mental health, including support for pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, and perinatal loss.

I also work with individuals navigating:

  • Grief and loss

  • Palliative care

  • Mental health concerns

  • Substance use

  • Relationship challenges

  • Burnout and vicarious trauma

My interests and experience have led me to pursue additional training and practice in areas such as:

  • Trauma-informed and culturally humble approaches

  • Decolonizing frameworks

  • Perinatal mental health

  • Supporting frontline workers and health professionals

I use a variety of evidence-based approaches and perspectives including, but not limited to:

  • Talk Therapy

  • Narrative therapy

  • EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

  • Somatic Experiencing

  • Attachment Theory

  • Mindfulness practices

I aim to provide counselling that honours your unique story and lived experience.

Sessions are available both in person and online, making it possible to connect from anywhere in British Columbia in a way that feels accessible to you.

In partnership, we will explore the challenges you are facing—whether related to perinatal mental health and loss, or other mental health and substance use concerns—and work collaboratively toward your preferred ways of being.
